Hell Is The Hot Place To Be But A Hospital's NOT!

"Never kick a fresh turd on a hot day." ~ Harry S. Truman

Turns out, going to the hospital, when you're sick, is a lot like doing just that (kicking a warm turd, spitting into the wind, farting in the car with all of the windows rolled up). Now that 79-year-old Mac has been in the hospital for a full week, he's caught both pneumonia and MRSA. Hospitals are sealed up like those inflatable bouncing houses: the perfect environment for spreading turdy-germs around.

Some day, when our grandchildren are grown, they will look back on these times and talk about how barbaric was our efforts in "modern medicine" with all the invasive and contagious procedures; killing most of those who sought help. Throwing a bunch of really sick and some contagious people into the same building when their immune systems were already under attack just seems idiotic to me.

Doug and I both have living wills. This experience is convincing me even further that I never want a feeding tube implanted in my body: just poison me at home already! (I.e., if it looks like I'm about to die anyway). People can live 30 days without eating. Mac's MRSA is where they inserted the feeding tube: through his nose. Precious, helpless, man. Poor hurting family.

As a society, we need to overcome this idea that "I am my body." We must stop with the cosmetic surgery to delude the masses into thinking we are younger than we are (and ourselves into thinking we will live in this flesh forever). We are so much more than mere flesh! We should NOT fear death so that we try to stay confined in this package longer than optimal. When that mental transition is made -- when people start being more "real" and connect with their spiritual aspect on a more authentic level, we as a society will no longer be willing to bankrupt families. We will no longer tolerate doctors who approach healing as though their job is to shoo death away at all costs.

So sorry about Mac! That's terrible.

Here, here. Say it again. As a society it is past time for this transition.

In the meantime, my heart is with you.

BecomingKate ~ Sadly, they took him back into surgery for yet a THIRD time just today. :(

Breathe-e ~ What does it take to change societies way of thinking . . . I know it happens; just wish it would happen faster.

MRSA? Is that even in the country? I thought China was having trouble with that.

It sounds like one of the attendants hasn't learned to wash hands between patients. Dr. Semelweiss is famous, for having given his life, to teach that lesson thirty years later. Americans are over-cautious, about sanitation, but somebody wasn't; it's as if, someone wanted to have a better insulated home, so doubled the insulation, but left the doors and windows open.

"MRSA/Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus aureus was discovered in 1961 in the United Kingdom. It made its first major appearance in the United States in 1981 among intravenous drug users. " The artical earlier stated, SunTiger probably didn't wash her hands, after visiting, and spread the infection to the hospital elevator... You can learn a lot, from Wikipedia.

Good news, is that Counter-anti-biosis uses DNA Space, lessening the virulence of the infections, but Staph was nasty to begin with. Flesh Eating Bacteria are a strain of Staph.

There's an idea, for a terrorist threat... what if some terrorist, maybe from the World Bank, were to make all those politicians immune carriers, of Flesh Eating Bacteria, so nobody could identify the single source?

My mother got crippled, in the past week, by overwork. She'd been subbing, for a class of Second Graders, and getting out of her chair so often caused her muscles to seize, the moment she got some rest. I know the remedy, but she doesn't like Scientology, and wouldn't trust me as a healler. I have to find a nine year old, pretending she can act as a go-between, so I can start a church, so my mother can receive a life saving medicine, as something nice to do.

I'm thinking of a Myco-Cyclic College, acting as a Mycorrhiza to the Postulant World Church, assisting all churches towards the union of World, Earth and Heaven.
