Sometimes I wonder if the lectures presented to my native plant (habitat restoration) class would NOT be more effective if the monotone deliveries were employed as a sleep catalyst for some scientific study on snoring and/or sleep.Here's just one really quick example of the tedious content we must learn (I thought I knew what meiosis meant before I read the definition):

Fijufic ~ That's just it . . . I AM totally into the whole deal. I'd just prefer to learn by practical touching, seeing, smelling, hearing, listening (not sitting in a chair listening exclusively).
Well, if you want to learn by doing, the subject is Meiosis, and I seem to recall you've some Children, by some method or other.
All I recall on the subject is that My-Toe-ses and My-Oh-ses are two different styles of reproduction. Things we learn from Jr.High Science. I recall there was mention of Gametes, at the time, but I'm not sure I've ever seen one under a microscope.
Jr. High Science is, how to fill the country with little future soldiers in the event you join the workforce. Some Prussian Genius organized the desks rank and file, so that the "Teachers" could eventually be replaced with "Officers."

Anyways, according to every book on Scientology, you'd be going to sleep, if you don't stop the fellow everytime he hands out a word you don't know. Stop him, so the other students have a chance to catch up.
I think it's something about the use of Shibolythic Buzz-Words, to exclude the uninitiated, and people are habituated to falling asleep while they wait for admission, that is to say, explanation. It can carry quite a whallop.

sounds like me in first year biology. it being an early class didn't help!
LOL. I'd hate to learn scientific names and such early in the morning (it's bad enough AFTER I've had time to tank up with coffee).
