Caretake THIS Moment

When life throws unexpected events in our direction it's foolish to sit around and wonder: "Why me?" That's because neither fretting nor moaning serve any good or productive purpose.

Meanwhile - life has presented me with a whole lot of irregular-behaving people in the last few days (many of them "spiritual advisors") and I'm feeling exhausted; which reminds me that I need to RECONNECT, spiritually.

The Egyptian Goddess Isis (pictured) is very near and dear to my heart because her life story repeatedly shows how she not only overcame EVERY obstacle in her life but she surpassed every supposed limitation known to human beings (and earned her status as deity by exercising pure wisdom). No amount of tragedy or failed venture could ever keep her down.

On Sunday - I went to an estate sale where a Scandinavian couple had died. The Scandinavians as an ethnic group were very hard-working people who loved to laugh. At the sale, I couldn't help but notice how luxurious was the home but all the furnishings were very simple and not at all elaborate or ornate. While there, I bought an old heavy-duty wheel-barrel, a book on Scandinavian humor and a CD of old time silly music that included "Mares Eat Oats" and "I hate you because your feet are too big" songs.

May you, dear reader, always manage to OVERCOME any obstacle put in your path and find ways to laugh while doing so much living!

Very nice post! I seem to have a few obstacles this month, but at least I have no stress over the household budget.

Hope you have a good one, ST!

BecomingKate ~ Not having stress over the houshold budget is a VICTORY. {YAY.} The more you focus on your successes -- the more that flows easily your way. [I'm pulling for you too.]

Ahh those Scandinavians are funny once you tune in to their humor.
I love the functionality of their furniture.

Cheers to you Sun.

Love,
Bobby

Fijufic ~ My family is largely of Norwegian descent (we have Dutch and Irish in our bloodline too but not as much) so I consider myself primarily of "Scandinavian" descent. The more I study such ancestry the more I understand my father who hated non-functional things such as stuffed animals (that I treasured on my bed), flowers that took up space that could be used for growing vegetables, etc. Don't get me wrong -- I adored my father and he was the best dad ever. I just never knew where some of his opinions came from until I began historic research recently.

I would like to learn more about egyptain mythology, I have never really looked at it alot. Well thank you, it's something that I need to work on right now.

Æshe ~ We all have an affinity for certain things. I'm really into studying Norse mythology right now but I probably started walking down the Pagan Path with an insatiable desire to understand the Egyptian Pantheon. (Such icons enhance our lives -- as we gain positive and negative examples of other life stories that guide us more safely through our own lives). I sometimes wonder if it's past-life experiences that drive us to study.
