Beautiful White Blooms On This Pear Tree

With my pear tree (left photo; click it to see it enlarge to view the shimmer) and many other fruit-trees now in bloom, continent-wide, it feels as though our Mother Earth promises to sustain life for yet another coming season. Native Trilliums (pictured below) also spread their delicate petals to seemingly call forth the healing sun.

Here in the Pacific Northwest, it's misting very hard this morning. I'm thankful for such delicate rain after three days of Heavenly sunshine. My soul is filled with the memory of so many birds stuffing the air with song. Last night the frogs and crickets were clicking and croaking louder than I've ever remembered hearing them from my yard.

IN OTHER NEWS: I'm reading a book called "Rootwork: Using the Folk Magick of Black America for Love, Money and Success" by Tayannah Lee McQuillar. Some of what McQuillar writes seems purely opinionated (e.g., she claims psychics who make predictions are all charlitans while she herself utilizes divination to foretell the future).

Meanwhile, I agree with many other aspects of her book. I'm especially thankful for how she describes "spirit guides" and unveils the erroneous assumption that all ghosts and spirits who advise people are highly evolved. They are truly NOT deity-types (i.e., not angels).

In regards to foretelling the future: there are simply many things we are just not supposed to know yet . . . and when my clients ask for predictions I admit it when no clear message is forthcoming (because the Universe does NOT want it to be known and free will means the present energies can blow in another direction).

Nobody wants to be proven a fool (or even considered one) and I resent it when other magic workers call other root-workers and spell-casters names.

THE POINT OF THIS ENTRY:
Always remember, dear reader, when you hire a psychic/medium that they can see images of the dead and quite often receive spiritually wise messages. Meanwhile - as I have been very effective at predicting pregnancies and when a boyfriend might call (or interpreting what are his feelings at this given moment) no psychic can see EVERYTHING. Be realistic when you work with a psychic. In a given moment, as you stand in your yard, you cannot possibly take in every detail with your eyes, ears, and sense of smell/feeling functioning fully. Psychics focus their attention in one direction and communicate that reality to you. They cannot see EVERYTHING.

Pretty blossoms!
(I'm afraid of the future...I don't want to know!)

Have a good one, ST.

There's a big difference between fear and fright. Fear is utterly useless. Like worry, it imagines some terrible outcome and creates duress about something that has not happened (and may never happen). Fright, on the other hand, is something you definitely want to pay attention to. FRIGHT is when a wart-hog leaps at you the moment you open your front door. Adrenaline pumps through your body. You are in danger NOW and need to respond accordingly.

FRIGHT is very useful (good for our survival). FEAR is merely imagined and utterly useless.

"I admit it when no clear message is forthcoming (because the Universe does NOT want it to be known and free will means the present energies can blow in another direction)" SunTiger, I appreciate this interpretation. It explains why some things that have occurred were very clear beforehand, and why I can't get a hold on others. I'm working on re-focusing, probably necessary right about now.

Breath-e ~ I'm still trying to figure out exactly how psychic ability works. I KNOW it does (just look at my ratings and read my hard-earned feedback). Still, if I had to tell you HOW the face of a deceased loved one comes into my level of awareness -- I don't think I could explain the full process. I'm also always working hard to KNOW MORE (even while my friends already chastise me for being a "know it all.")

Fijufic ~ You stud. You will go far with all your new adventures and ambition.

i love trilliums. we were told not to pick them as kids because they are endangered. it seems silly since they grow like crazy around here in the summer.

What a silly question. Of course Psychic Ability works, since all that touches us is of our own creation. The Question to ask, is how do people carry off that act of Psychic Ability not working, with such sincerity.

I'm trying to convince people to attend my birthday, on Beltaine Weekend, so I can get the Holy Grail back into play. I'm not very convincing in party invitations, which talent the practice is good at improving. We have to start somewhere, and it's traditionally a bit more dismal than winding up at the full attainment, but I wonder if I'm holding myself back, out of some forgotten game... Strength turns up in shuffling, and I get a call from a creditor, that wants to nag me into composing an Income Contingent Repayment Scheme; I should talk to a lawyer about that... Drawn is the King of Cups, which might represent me in this: Responsibility and creativity; Learned person; Profesional; Businessman; Lawyer; Religious person; Scientist; A considerate person, kind and reliable; Liberal manner; Artist; Interest in the arts and sciences; Generosity. Alternatively, it might mean there's a Christian Scientist, practicing Law, that would be interested in the art of the stirring cauldron...
