Happy & Joyous 2009!

It felt so good to wake up and shower - scrub all that's left from the year 2008 off my body (and I scrubbed hard with sea salt!). While I visualized all the negative stuff going down the drain, I thought about the past few days where I'd been scouring my kitchen and cleaning the house -- even washed the floors with sage-tea last night to purify my home for a clean start in 2009.

Then, while I was feeling 100% purified, I opened my email account this morning and read this crazy subject line from a spam message: "Exciting feeling is when I talk to you in my privates..."

Are you laughing with me? [I think this upcoming year will be full of laughter.]

In numerology (a method of divination that reduces numbers down to a single digit, except when the master numbers 11, 22 and/or 33 are involved) and this year, 2009, reduces down to the master number "11" {2+0+0+9= "11" or "2"}.

Master numbers carry more power than other years. On an intuitive level I'm confident 2009 will be full of drastic change but here's what a numerologist has to say about it:

The 11 is the most intuitive of all numbers. It represents illumination; a channel to the subconscious; insight without rational thought; and sensitivity, nervous energy, shyness, and impracticality. It is a dreamer. The 11 has all the aspects of the 2, enhanced and charged with charisma, leadership, and inspiration. It is a number with inborn duality, which creates dynamism, inner conflict, and other catalyses with its mere presence. It is a number that, when not focused on some goal beyond itself, can be turned inward to create fears and phobias. The 11 walks the edge between greatness and self-destruction. Its potential for growth, stability, and personal power lies in its acceptance of intuitive understanding, and of spiritual truths. For the 11, such peace is not found so much in logic, but in faith. It is the psychic's number. Source: http://www.decoz.com/Masternumbers.htm

Those spam messages are hilarious! Unfortunately, I've known a few men who answered them (particularly the ones from Russia) and it went from "I love you" to "pay for me to move there"
Alberta oilfield men have been doing the "mail order" bride thing since the first oil boom.
Happy New Year!

BecomingKate ~The question is: did their marriages work out? I know a couple of guys from around here who did that but as soon as the women folk had earned their right to work here in America the marriage fell apart.

I highly recommend, that men look into Mail Order Brides: First, look at what their mothers look like, in person; then, because we treat others as we'd be treated, and we want to be treated well, see how she treats the local prostitutes; When all else checks out, look into medical exams, including loss of Virginity and other STDs.
While you're in Russia, they also have cheap horses, at the Moscow Hippodrome. Also diseased, but a much better bargain.

Actually, if I hit the Powerball, I want to open a horse farm, with its own airstrip, within 500 miles of Tokyo, probably in Siberia. Twelve year old Japanese Girls, would get the idea, that Russian Dissidents had to go to Summer Camps.

Eleven is of two minds, whether it's an even or an odd number, so it might have some perspective.

Interesting comments, Arawn. Regarding the number eleven having two personalities -- you are right. That is why the law of attraction will definitely come into play this year.

Think POSITIVE. Know that you deserve good things and it will manifest for you.

Numerology has always interested me, thanks for the link. I will check it out!

I had a wise woman tell me once that my husband and I were matched because I was born on the 18th (1+8=9) and my hubby on the 27th (2+7=9). Interesting stuff...
