I'm Going To New York {& Other Enchantments}

I just booked my round-trip flight to New York City. The air-fare costs only a Total of: $279.20 (that covers both going & returning non-stop flights; booked through Priceline).

I booked my bunk bed at a backpacker's hostel through Booking.com and saved off that hostel's website price. (I am paying a mere $270.34 to sleep an entire week -- 7 nights -- just 4 blocks from Central Park in NY!) I know I will be seeing musicals and eating great food, etc., so I don't care that I'll be crashing in a bunk-bed with three other strange women in the same room -- not so long as the entire place is clean and SAFE from bedbugs (and I read the myriad of reviews for this hostel which reassured me in those regards).

I plan to only take one carry-on suitcase and won't be wearing any jewelry or taking any valuables with me. Doug thinks I'm crazy for doing it -- but I'm excited.

I'll be celebrating the 4th of July at the Big Apple and I'm making this trip for cheap, cheap, cheap! (The combined round-trip flight with seven nights of sleep will only cost $549.54 for the entire week!).
Of course that amount does NOT include the cost of food and entry into museums, etc.

NEW YORK CITY I'LL BE THERE IN JULY {Brace yerself!}

I cannot wait to visit metaphysical stores (e.g., the one pictured) in that big city. Supposedly Enchantments is New York City's Oldest and Largest Witchcraft/Goddess Supply Store. It's located at 424 E 9th St. between 1st Ave. and Ave. A. NY, NY.

Another store I want to see is: Stick, Stone & Bone (LOVE THAT NAME!), 111 Christopher St., New York City, NY.

You can bet I'll be buying things and shipping them home so I don't have to lug purchases around with me.

Beatles in Hell? They're our best band!
Life is Hell, and it's not the past ones we should worry about. I think I've a line on George Harrison, which should also give me John Lennon, and Elvis, but if I do a reunion show, Paul and the drummers will make it an intergenerational show.
NYC, I have a brother returning there, after his honeymoon. Have you my phone number?

First, I'm in the NYC Area, although I haven't the U$25 it takes to get in the city.
I don't expect anyone to believe that I can get the original beatles back togeather, so I might as well deliver Elvis as well.

Bring back the music, Arawn. I'm voting for you being able to to do that.

That sounds like way too much fun. I am not a huge fan of NYC but the stores and things you can get there are second to none in variety and uniquity. Have funz! (p.s. I always stay at hostels too)!

LeftCoastLobstah ~ This is going to be my very first hostel experience. It took me ALL DAY to choose a location and book it because I kept researching the different options and read every customer review I could find on-line. (I was honestly nervous about it). I feel ready for the ADVENTURE now tho. Thank you for sharing how you have stayed at such a place -- you are classy. Maybe I'll be fortunate to stay in a room with other cool people like you. :D

I posted some travel tips for ya. I am sure I will get more. One little tip in case you haven't thought of it - in hostel showers, I tend to like to wear a pair of flip-flops in and out of them, especially before and after showering. Most hostels don't private a private bath for the room so always have something on your feets in the dirty places :)

"provide a private bath". I guess it's late.

LeftCoastLobstah ~ Such an awesome idea. I actually learned to wear flip-flops from showering at the gym (after getting a contagious & painful ingrown wart). Some lessons, such as that, we NEVER forget. :D

P.S. I didn't even notice the typo until you pointed it out. I make typing errors like that all the time. {{I blame it on the mischievous house elves and such.}}

I don't know where I'm going to get the money to visit NYC, but I've a brother there, and my new sister in law knows somebody who might get me an interview with Bill Clinton, so I can sell him on the idea of a road trip to Burning Man. There's also an Annunaki I'd like to touch bases with, there, so I've to raise Train Fare.

Burning Man is an arts convention, where a sculpture is burned the saturday before the first Monday of September, and something of a liberal pow-wow. The theme, this year, is Evolution - The Tangled Bank, and I think these atheist theocrats could stand to help the evolution of our tangled banks, and to discover that God is not about God. Anyhow, I wouldn't be starting such a road trip until August. I don't know how likely it'll be, that we sit with Clinton... Drawn is the Ace of Pentacles, showing a coin brought by divine hand: Perfection; Attainment; Prosperity; Felicity; Bliss; Gold; Valuable coins or artifacts; Treasures; The combination of material and spiritual riches. Uhm, if I'm actually a Maha Jana, then my spiritual and material riches will happen togeather...

The Music, is on disk, and in the archives of Michael Jackson, but the joy of sharing in Song,the religion of Skiffle, that's what I'd want to make a seed out of.

Panademona ~ I am learning that planning the trip is half the fun of going. I'm currently reading a fun "guide" to NYC and everything . . . oh the SUSPENSE and ANTICIPATION keeps building (I'm sure I'll blog about it more as the days progress)!

Arawn ~ You are hilarious dude.

Cygnus MacLlyr ~ I've never thought of myself as "lucky." {Maybe because of all the hard knocks I've been through.} I certainly do feel "blessed" these days tho . . . that makes me ponder the meaning of those two words: lucky verses blessed. (I guess I feel I DESERVE this damn trip -- and hard work and the grace of Gaia made it happen/luck didn't have much to do with it).
